Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: We got across the crossing at the base of the North Twin Trail with no difficulty. We were descending and just crossed once. Parts of the bushwhack are an ecological disaster, quite frankly. But the crossing itself was no difficulty--yet! There is still an insane amount of snow up high, and

Trail Maintenance Notes: There are a number of blowdowns on the Twinway and the North Twin Trails, and there is still a ton of snow up high, so we had to duck and weave with out enormous backpacks.

Comments: We did the entire backpack from Guyot Shelther down to the river in microspikes, but we just as easily could have done it in snowshoes, and I suspect that shortly, that will be the way to go. Please, do not go into the mountains without snow shoes!
