| Comments: |
Fresh snow and persistent cold weathers helped recreating winter conditions. Trail was powder covered and packed, NO post-holing. Started off with microspikes for the first miles and as it got steeper there were a lot of icy surfaces under the thin snow cover and required to switch to crampons for better traction. Once you go past the tree line the trail becomes mostly pure ice and drifting snow due to strong winds so crampons helped navigate the way to the top. |
