Small crossing on Liberty Springs all rock hopable. However, rocks in the water crossings at lower elevations were covered in ice at the start making crossing tricky. A Tree was strategically placed across the last larger water crossing that was great for assisting with crossing. |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Two large trees down on lower sections and one at higher elevations of Liberty Springs that will require chain saws to remove. Trail diverted around all. |

Spectacular day to be on the summits. Blue cloudless sky with a little wind on the summits, but not too bad. Great chatting with everyone on the trail today. Trails started dry with patches of ice that could be maneuvered around; started bare booting. Ascending Liberty Springs had it all, running water, ice, dry patches, rock hopping, small stable monorail. On ascend trail transitions to solid ice, hard packed & granular snow combination. Switched to spikes after larger final ascending water crossing. Between Liberty and Flume a mostly hard packed 6" monorail is starting to appear in sections. Some snow softened up in the sun, resulting in minor sticking to spikes through this section of trail. |
