Pepper gives the trails four paws up. The new work is awesome. Great hiking trails all. |

Great fun for the mighty tough little dog. But we went up when the temps were relatively low. No water after the last crossing. |

 | Bugs: |
None on the trail except a few swarms of small bugs that fly up your nose. On the ski trail the black flies are still there if one slows down. |

A quick beat the incoming heat hike turned into a delightful walk on wonderful woods trails, and some views in places. I was going to skip coming down the ski trails to keep the sun off Pepper but he plunged down them enjoying the freedom to run anywhere. It was warm so I gave his head a soaking twice, but he found shade in places too. But we happily hopped back onto the trail at the lookout to get rid of the bugs and for Pepper some sippin and dippin. Lots of ripe strawberries in the upper section to go with the wildflowers but bring netting if you want to pick them. |
