Great day out there. Snow coverage starts almost immediately and is quite good except for the sunny spots where trail is exposed in spots. Nice hard center track held up fine on the trailed portion - not monorail yet. Followed Hancock Notch Trail past junction with cedar brook tr. Broke into nice open woods a little before height of land and stayed west of steep stuff / talus. Mostly medium woods with some short thick stretches. Found Mt. Huntington canister (it’s on the eastern side of the ridge) then headed over to South Huntington through nice open woods, some medium/thick stuff towards the top of south. South Huntington canister is on western side of the ridge. Lots of snow still above 3000ft, especially on north facing slopes. Snow pack was hard enough that snowshoes stayed on the pack, but we did punch through every once in a while. Some peek-a-boo views of Hancocks from Huntington.
