Comments
Comments: I had visited the summit of Paugus ("visited" here being code for "got in an altercation with") a few summers ago, but never was satisfied we had found the true summit. On that bushwhack we found the nice viewpoint on the ledges to the east, but we also found the nice blowdown patch in the col. This time we bypassed both and headed straight for the peak, hitting a brief spruce band near the top. After a little hunting around, Trekboots discovered the highpoint and now I can finally sleep at night.

A couple steep and very icy spots on the Lawrence Trail that required sharp microspikes; we switched from our old spikes to our new spikes at that point going up, and then switched from new to old after we had passed that same point on the way down. Thanks to Trekboots for another fun hike and 'whack.
