Recent trail report was spot on. Microspiks on at about .75 mile. Trail base was solid all the way to the summit; no need to use snowshoes today, but you should bring them with you regardless. Lots of post holes, but easily avoided. ENBW is a little zig-zag-ish. Water crossing remains partially bridged.
Only saw six people today, which was surprising given the really good trail conditions and excellent weather. Nice to say hi to TrishAlexSage crushing the Grid and nearing the finish line.
On a whim, stopped to check out nearby Glenn Ellis Falls. If you've never been, definitely worth the very easy side trip. |
