Comments
Comments: A trace of snow down low when we started and barebooted to the first of the 2 main crossings. Put on spikes and wore them most of the day back to about 1/4mi above the WMNF boundary. A thin top layer of powder/spring/flakey snow hiding a lot of monorail and postholes up higher with some really crusty areas. Snowshoes got a free ride for the day with there not being enough snowpack depth to need them for most of the day. Might still be 2' of snow up on the ridge, it was bare for the last mile plus on the way down as it warmed up thru the day. It's spring so bring your snowshoes.
