Comments
Comments: Used snowshoes from the parking lot all the way to the trailhead. Hit two small water crossings (not seen on the map) before turning around and not attempting to cross little river. We decided to change our plan after the two very minor water crossings gave us a little bit of trouble. We knew crossing little river would be rough. We did not see any clear ice bridges and it was unclear if it was passable further up the trail. We decided to change plans and take the fire wardens trail to Hale. Upon returning to the motel we did see six other cars in the parking lot that seemed to have made it across since we didn’t see them on Hale.
