Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: None worth mentioning
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Some vegetative growth extending in to path in some sections. The bog bridges are nearing the end of their life cycles. The tree falls uphill from the Davis-Stairs col have been cleaned out. Davis Path had no tree falls that caused any problems. Sign for Mt Davis needs to be screwed tighter in to the tree or be mounted on a post.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: The Davis Path is on a dry ridge. Not an ideal dog trail. Met one dog who needed water. The owner was going to go down the Stairs Col trail in search of water.
Bugs
Bugs: Some deer or horse flies that were bothersome. Otherwise no bugs.

Comments
Comments: The Davis Path was mostly dry. The wettest section was the col between Davis and Stairs. Most of the mud spots were of a pasty consistency. The forest cover for most of the hike helped to keep me cooler. The views from Mt Isolation and Mt Davis were great. Some sections of trail need to be brushed out.
