| Comments: |
Winter conditions above 2,000' today. Never saw the sun. Snowed the whole time. About 4" at the trailhead. 6" at the summit. Some minor drifting. Snowshoes top to bottom and back. The new snow covered the mud, monorail, and trailbed. It obscured the postholes and uneven trail. Without snowshoes, there would have been a lot of ankle twists. It looks like I was the only one to summit the Twins today. So, snowshoes are recommended for this weekend. The monorail and trail is solid where it's not running water, just uneven. So, spikes will work if you dare. |
