Tuckerman, Right Gully, Lion Head, Tuckerman. Down via Tuckerman, Lion Head, fire road, Tuckerman
Snow soft enough for good grip in Ravine. Winter Lion Head requires FULL CRAMPONS and three steps on bare rock. MicroSpikes fine on lower Tuckerman / tractor road and above Lion Head. Some walking on rocks required on summit cone. Got to see Obs crew deicing the tower and its instruments, plus a Uruguayan flag being unfurled by its owners. |
