Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Room for maybe a dozen cars if everyone parks smart on the lot off Thompson Rd. Gone are the days of parking beyond the parking spot, the roadside is heavily signed “no parking - cars will be towed” both sides of the parking area and road. If lot is full, have a plan B.

Comments
Comments: Hiked the loop counter clockwise. Hoping for a snow free, ice free quick hike in Green Hills Preserve, but not quite. Still ice low, but don’t get discouraged-it doesn’t last long. Most snow and ice was found coming down off the peak heading north on loop. Still navigable without traction with care, and sun was hitting the north side snow so it won’t last long. If I had some beater traction with me I might have used them.

At the split between Peaked and Middle, slopes facing north on Middle completely snow covered, slopes facing south on Peaked completely bare.

Great views to the southwest from the peak and presi’s from the ledges looking north.

Limited parking (mentioned above) kept the number of hikers seen minimal.
