Comments
Comments: Brutal slog into King Ravine w/ lots of postholes, but snowshoes would’ve broken through too. The ice was out in Great Gully so we took the bypass. Snow in the gully itself was firm and made good climbing. Very rocky above treeline and we removed crampons for the entire way down. Valley way a bit more firm snow, but Spring is here early... maybe winter makes a comeback but the damage has been done to the snowpack.
