 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Muddy dirt road to get there, small parking lot. We were the only ones there at 10am, which is super late for us. |
|
 | Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Ice - Breakable Crust, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant, Leaves - Significant/Slippery, Snow/Ice - Small Patches |
|
 | Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction |
|
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Water crossings had bridges or were hoppable except one that required going across some logs, which was easy. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A few large blow downs that seem to have been there for a while but easy enough to go around or over. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
We had my dog and shortly after we started hiking were approached by two off-leash dogs with no owner in sight. I called out multiple times with no answer. It’s a good thing it was that particular dog I had as two of my others would’ve attacked their dogs for coming up on us like that. The owner finally came along. I asked her twice if they were her dogs before she finally said yes and just stood there staring from the bottom of the incline. I had to ask her to please call them away before she finally did. We started going again and her dogs came right back over to us. She had zero control over them. I believe she must have turned around and left after that. Her dogs were very friendly and sweet, but I hope she leashes them in the future. |

Loved this trail. Of course very muddy, but that’s to be expected. After the dog incident we didn’t see another soul until the summit. |
