Comments
Comments: Great day for an out & back of Barlow trail. It was one of those do we put the spikes or not, most of the way up. We opted for bare boots on the way up. The ledges are clear of ice so ultimately we felt no spikes during the ascent was the right decision. On the way down we put spikes on immediately after the ledges and they were absolutely necessary to descend. At the lower part of trail mud is mixed with breakable ice. Step carefully and wear waterproof boots.
