Comments
Comments: Mix of conditions: patches of snow on mostly dry trail, elevated monorail, and solid base with loose snow on top. Past the junction with Bemis Brook Trail, the snow was consistent.

Saw a number of people out hiking in sneakers, but they appeared to be slipping a lot. Spikes worked well for us, as did winter hiking boots to keep our feet dry.

Arethusa Falls was stunning today - still partially frozen with running water showing through. The snow on top of the brook was stable enough to walk out a little ways, but I wouldn’t expect that to last with more rain and warm temps.
