Comments
Comments: A FINE day in the forest! Had some friends working on their first round and with the deluge of rain last night - this fit the bill of a fine chance of success. Winter on the ascent, spring in it's full delight on the descent. Laid fresh tracks most of the way. Trail surprisingly firm on ascent, slushy on the way out. Lost count, but over 50 in the Pierce Parade today. Fool's Spring of being 60 yesterday in the North Country was replaced today with full winter* gear. Sideways snow and a bit of freezing rain early. Did run into a fellow who's super hero name is probably "Comforter Man" - he was quite literally above treeline wrapped in a comforter and working his way towards Ike. I always love spring fashion in the Whites, but this haute getup was surely memorable. All in all a fine day. Stopped by Gibbs Falls on the way out and it was surging! Gorgeous! These bring me to 41 for March! Heck yeah!
