| Comments: |
The trail is almost completely snow covered, except for the beginning and the first of the rock steps. I wore spikes in the morning heading up to the summit and was fine until the loop near the summit. I went clockwise and postholed a few times, along with a number of other people. I put my snowshoes on at the summit and went down the other section of the loop, which was also a mess of postholes. I'm glad I was in snowshoes, as I avoided postholing for the rest of the trail. The Sosman trail was softer and therefore had more postholes, but I was fine in snowshoes. There were some wonderful people on the trail and I'm glad I got to talk to many of them. While cloudy it was still a beautiful day in the mountains. |
