Wore microspikes as soon as we starting ascending. Still a thick sheet of ice a low elevations. As we got higher and began the boulder scrambles, we took off our spikes and were able avoid any ice patches. The descent down the main trail still requires light traction. I crab crawled down a couple of rock ledges coming off the summit. Most people had some traction and those who didn't wished they had brought them. |
