Comments
Comments: Not too much snow prior to the Bald Peak junction - maybe 3" at the base and about 8" or so at the Bald Peak junction. We were able to snowshoe top to bottom without much of an issue. The spur path to Bald Peak has been barebooted only - if only doing Bald Peak, bareboots may be enough. A few mud patches in the normal areas in the flats. Above Bald Peak, the snow quickly deepens - snowshoes a must (some previous barebooters turned back, a few later in the day had deep postholes). Up on the Kinsman Ridge Trail, all but the biggest ledge were covered with snow (the biggest can be snowshoed if you go to the left). Decent snowshoe track between the peaks (ledges mostly filled in), though there were some post holes in places.
