Both water crossing still had solid ice/snow bridges but they were close to failing |

Two minor blowdowns, easy to step over/around |

5 dogs, all on leashes, with parties going up to the falls |

Yellow "Coal" beanie, left on trail sign near parking lot |

| Comments: |
Wore microspikes the whole time - firm snow up Champney Falls Trail to Piper Trail to summit of Chocorua in early morning, softening trail, post holes from earlier hikers along Middle Sister Trail and Champney Falls Extension, likely the last day to get away without snowshoes in that area this spring, Champney Falls Trail held firm (just barely) till I got out at 2 PM. |
