Comments
Comments: Recommend snowshoes at least for the next 3 days of warm temps expected. Trail was a mix of packed snow, loose snow, and drifts. No ice. Lots of buttsliding troughs between Field and Willey and down Avalon. Plenty of drifting going up A-Z and across the ridge. Snowshoes were the right tool for the job today. Saw lots of rototillers/spikers struggling in the loose snow and drifts. Contrary to the earlier poster’s comments, there were also plenty of NH Microspikers too (NH resident here calling them out!).
