Comments
Comments: We had a lovely sunny, warm day doing a family hike up to and around Lonesome Lake with our three young kids - 2 hiking and 1 in the carrier. We all brought snowshoes but ended up just using spikes or in my case trail crampons since I need extra traction while kiddo carrying. Trail up to the Lake was well packed in the morning but very slushy and slippery in some places by the time we headed down around 2pm. Around the lake trail was pretty packed in the middle but there were a fair amount of post holes and some areas where it was easy to break through. Seems as though without much cold weather things are really going to start to get mushy.
