Comments
Comments: Trail was a well packed ice highway until junction of Attitash trail and Moat Mountain Trail. I wore spikes until 2k ft, switched to snowshoes. I saw someone cutting a huge fallen tree across Attitash trail (the first blow down) and it seems like it'll probably be removed in a couple days or so. Attitash trail is really annoying because the majority of the trail going up to Big Attitash is a breakable ice crust going across the trail at like a 30 degree angle and sometimes you'll slide. Nice views of the backside of the Moats from Table Mtn. I think I bushwacked to the true summit but was unable to find any marker or anything. In general, the Attitash trail is a bit difficult to follow. On the way down, I was post holing where I wasn't before on the way up due to the warm temps. There were lots of people out enjoying Diana's Baths.
