Comments
Comments: What a glorious day in the mountains! Trails were nice and crispy in the early morning but got progressively softer through day - mashed potatoes near the bottom on return. Lower polecat is 'thin' with grass starting to come through in a lot of spots. Good stretch of boilerplate ice right when you get onto the Ridge - might overwhelm spikes on the way down. Ridge trail was in good shape but very soft off trail. As things start warming up, if you have snowshoes please use them to keep the trail later into the season!
