Started at 8am and 22 degrees. Ended in the afternoon and about 45 degrees. Lots of post holes that were avoidable on the ascent weren’t avoidable or sturdy on descent. Snow shoes would’ve gotten stuck and I’m not avid enough to try to use them in those conditions. A few unintentional butt slides did happen.
