Comments
Comments: Zealand Rd. was packed solid this morning (7 degrees). Still pretty solid at 11:30 (41 degrees). Hale Brook Trail was packed solid all the way up to the side hill traverse, the side hill traverse is quite narrow and not consolidated with old postholes. After the last crossing I switched to snowshoes. Two bare booters had passed me and chewed up the unconsolidated trail. I left the shoes on until I was back down below the side hill. I was the only one in snowshoes and there was some traffic coming up. It out be interesting when the trail really starts to soften. I started early on purpose so I wouldn't have to deal the the anticipated mess. All in all a beautiful day.
