There is only 1 crossing in the early going. Its got a solid snow bridge. But no big deal when it soon melts because the stream is very small. |

Snowshoes or skis required for Greeley Ponds XC ski trail.
Solid hard snowpack the whole way. No post holing. I wore micros up to the start at Osceola trail. Then it soon got steep and I went to full crampons up&down. Man, this is steep to E Osceola. Hiking math 101: if the hike is half the distance, its twice as steep. Didn't posthole once the whole day. Full snowcover except for a very short section at the chimney. Soonish this will turn to ice and definitely require crampons, so happy to check this box prior. Light drizzle in lower elevations. Steady snow on ridgeline, which only accumulated an inch while I was there. |
