Comments
Comments: Nice quick hike for sunset this evening. The trail was a mixed bag of conditions. It started off with snow/ice until it opened up in the first field. Where there was full sun exposure the snow was mostly gone and the trail was muddy. One the flat section we were back into deeper snow and ice.
Nearing the viewpoint and in the open the snow is mostly melted out as well. We managed to hike round trip without and traction though some may prefer a little added security with spikes. Where there was snow, it was firm enough for us to stay on top and not posthole. A nice sunset over the Belknap Range and the warmish temps mad it feel like spring.
