lonesome lake, (attempt) around the lake
packed down to the lake. the trail around the lake was not broken out when i got down there.someone had gone to the right but it wasnt packed. i went down a bit to get a view of the ridge but only had spikes and was post holing on occasion up to my thighs so didnt go further.
I also got distracted chatting with the couple from the parking lot, and got confused since the trail going left around the lake wasnt broken out, and ended up heading back down the lonesome lake trail a bit before noticing my mistake and coming back up! sharing in case it helps someone else -- chatting with other parties at trail junctions can be dangerous ; ) |
