| Comments: |
Carter-Moriah Ridge from Carter Notch Hut to Carter Dome is all covered. The quarter mile from hut to viewpoint is EXTREMELY steep, over 6 feet of ice/snow on trail with evidence of postholes from warmer temperature of last week. Ice axe is highly recommend for self arrest.
Forecast was for 50mph wind with 1 inch snow at summit, on par with condition up there.
Carter Dome trail is lightly packed but is already covered by snow drift. Cannot do without snowshoes.
19M is well packed snow, only spikes are needed.
