Comments
Comments: Despite the warm temps last week, the trails are still covered in snow and ice. There are a few spots of bare ground near the trailhead, but once you're past those spots, the trails are covered in snow and ice (but certainly more ice than snow). We used traction (spikes/trail crampons) for the entire loop - up Main Trail and down Brook Trail. Saw a number of people out attempting the hike without traction or even hiking boots, but not sure how far they made it.
