Comments
Comments: From vehicle, walked up Hunt's Mt. Rd to power line swath where snomo trail 103 comes in from the W. Turned N on snomo trail a short distance on swath before it turned NE into the woods. Stayed on snomo trail beyond logging yard and up a snowless steep pitch. At top of pitch, turned SE off snomo trail and followed logging roads NE to approx 1900'where we started NNE bw to summit. Recognized summit easily found.
An alternate route would have been to follow snomo trail further N and then bw NE to summit.
Logging roads and logging activity in this area can be seen on Caltopo's satellite views.
Grades - all easy
Entire bw through wide open or sparse woods.
Breaking effort - significant - once off snomo trail, the crust was unsupportive almost 100% of the time.
