 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Hancock Overlook was full but I managed to pull off to the side in the entry area. Please do this instead of trying to pack in behind the cars that are parked - that can make for a challenging escape :) |

Saw about 15 people out. It was a beautiful day! Tomorrow will be rough going. The snow was super squishy and I was postholing a few times even in 30 inch snowshoes by the end of the day. This, combined with the postholes generated by... other methods will make for tough travel. Step off the trail and you go thigh deep :) I went up Hancock and down South, which is probably the way to go, but be prepared for uncontrolled butt sliding or slow travel. I spiked the descent and did a combination of small steps and sliding and it worked OK. |
