Comments
Comments: Very springlike today. Went up Jewell, out & back to Jefferson, then looped over Washington to Monroe then down Ammo. All trails were very well packed all the way with remnant postholes off to the sides in some spots. They are all easily avoidable. It was warm even on washington so the snow was getting soft but it was still strong enough to support us. Above treeline the snow is not very deep as I could see rocks trying to poke through and even the grass was visible in some areas. Due to the warmth, the ice was breaking off the towers and the high wind was blowing it around like machine gun fire. Be careful when being downwind of the towers as it warms up. Postholed a few times at lower elevations from the softness but it was nothing outrageous.
