 | Water Crossing Notes: |
The un-bridged water crossing near the Cog Rail is still holding up. Spring is coming, so be careful as always. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A couple of easily navigated blow-downs, including one that I cut up with my folding saw. The rest are easily dodged, though that might change as the snow melts. Note that there was at least one deadwood leaner that's a bit precarious at the moment. Be careful that you don't duck under at the same time it decides to come crashing down. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
A couple of pups out enjoying the fine weather, living their best lives. |

 | Comments: |
This was the day I've been waiting all winter for. Unbridled sun, a trail that was in amazing shape, and magnificent views that were cut short only by the curve of the earth... and a few nearby mountains that got in the way of seeing what's beyond. Breathtaking views into the Great Gulf, no clouds of any significance... almost unheard of weather!
I was about to tick "skis" because over on the cog, a bunch of guys were hiking up and skiing down. Take that how you may.
Photos and a more detailed write-up are on my blog as always. |
