A short mini section hike, southbound from Longmarsh Rd. to Dame Rd. Today these trails were about 50/50 ice/soft snow and bare ground/mud. I carried spikes but didn't really need them. With this week's temps, whatever snow/ice that is left here will continue to disappear.
On the way back I took a blue-blazed loop trail that doesn't appear on the official map which led past some nice ledge outcroppings at the edge of the large beaver pond near the trailhead. I thought it was more scenic than staying on the main trail. |
