Comments: Met up with a firend of a frind, Denise and we had a great time going to the recognized highpoint of South Engine Hill, We even got to meet a big Bull Moose! I asked him to drop his rack but he trotted off. We barebooted all the way to the Wilderness Boundary we went another 50 feet and headed into the woods with snowshoes on our feet. Good 3 feet of snow up there. So much easier with so much snow and my memory did not fail me. We were in open woods all the way and circled the summit to the north to avoid thick stuff to the open area. We opened our eyes and went to the highpoint. We had some views across north to Mt. Davis and the ridge, clouds were pretty low. Quick return following our tracks though in places they were nearly invisible due to the windblown snow. As we were getting our gear into our car some friend's of Denise's popped out the trail after a bareboot trip all the way to Iso, and one was a newly minted single season peakbagger. Winter is too short.
