Comments
Comments: Solo hike of Monroe (46/W48), Jefferson (47/W48), and Washington (48/W48) to finish my Winter 48 on the summit of Mt. Washington! Weather was epic; decent temperatures, not a cloud in the sky, and almost no wind. Trail conditions were great. Ammo was well-packed, with spikes being adequate. And even above treeline, light traction would have been okay, though I switched to crampons at the Lake of the Clouds Hut since I had them with me.

Ran into Bob H on my way up Jefferson. Good luck on your final hike for solo SSW48!

David L, who got me into winter hiking, was planning on meeting me at the summit of Mt. Washington for my finish. He hiked up Lion's Head and then waited at the summit of Mt. Washington for 2 hours as I tagged Jefferson and made my way up Washington. Thanks for making it an even more memorable finish!
