Excellent hard packed powder trail, easy to follow and after 1st 1/2 mile just started steady 60% slope to the saddle area at 3800'ish feet. Micro-spikes all the way. Note: after reaching signpost at 2.2mi/soosman trail there is only .3mile to go. Following trail you come to a sign at a trail junction and the sign says Summit with arrows pointing both ways, a blue trail and the yellow trail markings for the tecumseh trail. Left goes up and yellow goes down????what to do?? You can go either way to the summit. looking on the map shows a teardrop circle surrounding the summit...But the crooked sign going in both directions gives you a moments pause....hahahaha. The views from the summit were beautiful and worth the effort. 2200'elevation gain and 4 hours RT. |
