Comments
Comments: Crawford Path to junction below Pierce summit is well packed. Microspikes are ideal. Most of the trail continuing to Eisenhower is well packed, with some sections of crusty snow and a couple sections of windblown soft snow. We switched to snowshoes for the crossing to Eisenhower and kept them on for our return to Pierce summit before switching back to micro pikes at the Mitzpah Cutoff junction for the remainder of the descent. No gray jays seen today. Plenty of wind on the open ridge this morning, with low visibility. Fun hike with Renee and Barb. The weather early this morning and the weather this afternoon could have been two different days. Lots of people enjoying Pierce and Eisenhower on this winter day!
