Spikes from car-to-car today. Crampons and snowshoes both got a free ride as trail is a sidewalk currently. Enjoyed the views on the way up and actually got views from the summit! First time that had happened since 2017 and 6 summits ago. A bunch of people out skiing the Carriage Rd today so that side is very smooth. Even though spikes are sufficient now, note that delicious soft spring snow that requires snowshoes is gonna be the result of the incoming midweek heatwave. |
