| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parked in the bigger lot on Bangor St. I imagine if parking was full you could park somewhere in Gorham and just walk to the trail head from there. Just a hop skip and a jump away! |
|
| Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction, Snowshoes |
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
All good |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trails in decent shape. Lots of spruce branches up high reaching out and grabbing at you. I imagine this is because of the high snow pack. Thank you to the first people through after a big snow storm de-snowing the branches! |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Great trail for dogs. Bella did great. Met Piper at the summit who was just starting a Carter traverse with its humans! No water so pack some for the pups. |

Spikes all day! Spikable trail atm! Great day to be hiking in the Whites. Blue skies and sunshine. Was it just me or did the Northern Presis look extra sexy today? Sat at Mt Suprise for a looooong time just enjoying them. Congrats to the people hiking them today you picked a fine day to do so. ALOHA to Steve and Kevin. Nice chatting with you about these amazing hills. Little Haystack for the win!! |
