The large water crossing that is at the near beginning of this trail was still completely frozen and packed down. Felt stable. |

One or two blow downs, but they were easy to get over or around. |

Few dogs on the trail today! There were no ledges that were too concerning for dogs. |

The trail was well packed down and clearly often used. I did not go to Sandwich Dome today. The trail looked like it would have continued with the same report. The winds have filled the trails with pine needles and small branches. Follow the yellow blazes on the trees, but you can still see the trail clearly.
Moderate hike, few steep strenuous spots.
We went in and out on the same trail, but we met a few guys who did the loop and said that the Drakes Brook Trail was much more gradual going down and the trail had the same great report! |
