All of the hike was super spikeable except for a portion nearing the top of N Twin, over to S Twin, and perhaps down to Zealand Hut. I wore snowshoes for that but my son made out just fine with spikes. For that portion the snow was a bit to soft for my liking. Everywhere else the snow was very compact and perfect for spikes. The entire hike took less than 7 hours due to the nature of the trail. |
