Comments
Comments: Couldn't ask for a better weather day: sunny, clear, low/no wind. Great views from all up and down the mountain(s) and you almost couldn't avoid seeing the Washington Observatory.

Trails were in good shape. The XC trail was especially well packed. The Mt. Osceola was very well packed too, with steep sections that were often smoothed out from sledding and slipping. Crampons and the axe were great for the chimney and some of the steeper sections. Snowshoes great for everything else. Most people wore microspikes and too the route around the chimney. But descending around the chimney still looked sketchy for them. If you're tall, be prepared to have to bend over a lot around low-hanging branches.
