Imp trail is well packed down up to Imp Face. Great views here of Mt Washington and the northern presis. From Imp Face to the junction with North Carter trail has 6" postholes the hole way that are frozen in the trail. 3 of us with snowshoes, but not sure if it really made it better. North Carter Trail is a little softer but still well packed. Carter-Moriah Trail is powdery and soft, snowshoes are best here. Perfectly clear day and sunny, amazing views of the Presidentials, and towards Maine. Saw about 10 people today, 4 with just spikes, 6 with snowshoes. Went down the southern part of Imp trail, which is well packed down. |
