||Lincoln Brook opposite north end of Black Pond bushwhack looked like a solid crossing; was tempted to return that way, but didn't. |

||Wasted at least 45 minutes slogging up the slide when the well-packed Brutus Bushwhack was freshly-tracked and packed. Wanted variety, but got more that needed.|
MicroSpikes fine were until base of OH, then snowshoes or crampons depending on temps. AVOID THE SLIDE, it was an unpleasant trip up, but views were great. Met 28-year-old Nick who has already summit the NE 115; thanks for breaking trail for us up the damned slide.
10.5 hours, out at full dark having follow Orion for the last hour.
