A small number of fallen spruce block the trail but are easily surmounted. |

The mossy ice covered spruce were lovely. This has to have been one of the more beautiful winters up here. Trail remains well packed below Starr King but drifted to Waumbek. Most folks wore spikes but the upper section was getting severely chopped up. Snowshoes recommended. |
